MAKE SUMMER FUN AGAIN!

Working later? Always busy? Feeling too tired to enjoy the summer and be with your kids?
Susan Powter is here to talk about four basic lifestyle changes that can start
to give working moms the energy and strength they need to lose weight and feel
great this summer. Make summer fun again!
As always, it’s as simple as Eat, Breathe, Move and Think!
Eat only whole foods!
Instead of apple sauce or fruit juice, go eat a real piece of fruit. Remember the joys of biting into a fresh juicy apple? It’s what summer is all about!
Take it one step further and enjoy the nature while planting your own fresh fruits and
vegetables. A great way to have fun outside and save money on produce!
Commit yourself to going for a 30 minute walk three days a week.
Get up 45 minutes earlier than usual just three days-you’ll beat the strong sun and get your day started on the right foot.
The energy you think you are conserving with extra sleep
will be doubled by breathing oxygen into your
body and energizing it. You’ll be happy you didn’t hit that snooze alarm.
Make your body stronger by doing some kind of physical activity to build
muscle each week. Everyone can go to the gym or sit home and lift weights.
Why not go and work in your garden for an hour? Do your own landscaping,
play with your kids, the options are endless! Remember that the key is to move your muscles and help them grow.
Start to make one better decision each week.
The easiest is to make sure that everything you buy has ingredients you can
pronounce. One of the rules in my family is if I can’t pronounce it, I won’t eat it. Look
at the list on a cereal box, a jar of sauce or canned food, if you don’t
know what it is and can’t pronounce it, don’t buy it. Keep looking for a
similar product, usually marked organic and you’ll find what you need.
Simple, daily habits that can change your life forever and get you to the
point of enjoying the summer with your family all summer long.
